Garden Grill – You are here: Home / Parks / Epcot / Ultimate Garden Grill Epcot Review (+ Vegan & Vegetarian Tips!)
It has been a dream of mine to eat at the Garden Grill at Epcot for almost my entire life. There was something delightful about the thought of eating in a slowly rotating restaurant atop the Living With The Land ride, one of my favorite rides at Disney World!
Garden Grill
Finally, after decades [literally] of walking past this Epcot restaurant, I finally tried it for dinner. I’m here to tell you that Garden Grill Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Harvest Feast is worth every penny. Whether you’re a true carnivore or vegan or have allergies, Garden Grill has you covered!

I wish I had left sooner. Although the price is steep for being a traditional diner, this Disney all-you-can-eat family-style restaurant is not to be missed. I really can’t overstate how amazing the Garden Grill was at Epcot!
I went to the Garden Grill as a vegetarian with garlic, onion and bean allergies, and my mom went to the Garden Grill as a vegan. If you don’t have any dietary restrictions, just go! You won’t regret it!
The garden grill turns SO SLOWLY that you won’t feel it and you won’t get “sick” or even feel the movement. It moves at a glacial pace and makes a full circle during the entire dinner, which took us over an hour and a half. If we had a bigger group it would have taken longer! Please don’t let the fact that it is a very slow restaurant stop you from dining here!
I didn’t have a reservation for dinner at the Garden Grill. I walked up around 6:30pm and asked if there were any entrances and asked for a table at the bottom of the restaurant in one of the booths.

My wait was less than 5 minutes. Unlike many Disney World character restaurants, the Garden Grill always seems to have reservations, even the day before or same day. Of course, it varies by season, but I’m an annual pass holder who loves Epcot, and I’m always on the My Disney Experience app to check where I want to eat for dinner in Epcot.
Garden Grill always has reservations open, and not even at “bad” times like 9pm! I’m around dinner time 17:30-19:30. If you want to try going to Epcot’s Garden Grill, try in the evening first, but there’s a good chance it won’t be fabulously full, despite being a truly amazing dining experience!
As of January 2020, the adult price for dinner at the Garden Grill is $54 for adults and $32 for children ages 3-9. This is also one of the best values if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan because it’s a credit for table service only.
We weren’t on the dining plan, so we paid full price minus the 10% discount we get at some restaurants as annual pass holders.
Hidden Gem Alert: Garden Grill Restaurant
Although the price is quite high, this is a great place to dine on a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. If you’re in Disney on vacation, mark this as one of your must-have dinners! Save your money and spend it here.
The Epcot Garden Grill menu is quite extensive and unique! This is a family-style meal, but you can order as many dishes as you like. Think of it as a buffet where you don’t have to leave the table and walk around to get more food!
Everything on the Garden Grill menu is included in the price you pay for dinner. The same goes for the Garden Grill at breakfast, and it’s one of Disney’s best and most popular breakfast spots.
You can see the Garden Grill menu on the Disney website or below because I forgot to take a picture of the “regular” menu in my haste and excitement to be seated!

The garden grill menu for vegans and vegetarians is extensive! It used to be split into vegetarian and vegan sections, but Disney has since consolidated the Garden Grill’s menu into one for “plant-based” diners.
If you’re a vegetarian, you can ALSO enjoy mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, herb and leek stuffing, and berry pie from the “regular” menu. Check with your server if the filling ingredients have changed, but the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are vegetarian.
If you have any type of allergy, please note this at check-in and the chef will be introduced to you. I’m allergic to garlic/onions/beans so I couldn’t eat the herb and leek stuffing, the veggie loaf [sad!] and the dressing on the salad. Instead, I was given a patty with Gardein “chicken” and an oil and vinegar dressing.
For vegans, you can opt for the plant-based menu, as my mom has confirmed that everything is vegan! If you feel more comfortable talking to the chef, go ahead, but everything on the menu was 100% vegan, not just plant-based. Everything is fabulously delicious and you won’t regret it or feel like you’re missing out just because you’re vegan or vegetarian at Garden Grill!
Opening Day At Garden Grill Harvest Breakfast
When you arrive at the Garden Grill Epcot ground pavilion, you will see a small desk with members waiting to be seated. I recommend asking to sit on the “lower” level of the restaurant so you can see and enjoy the surrounding views.
We were taken to our booth downstairs and it was right up front. It was exciting so we were able to spin slowly and see all the sights. The upper level of the Disney Garden Grill offers tables and chairs, unlike the booths, and the view isn’t as good, even if you’re higher up and looking “down” on the lower level diners.
Since it was a family style dinner, we assumed we would be sitting with other people since there were only two of us, but we were pleasantly surprised to have a booth! This is the norm, so you don’t have to worry about forced small talk with other guests.
As soon as you sit down, the waiter will ask you what you would like to drink. Drinks such as lemonade and sodas are included in the price. I went with the lemonade and it was served in a mason jar which was a nice touch to the “country” feel of the Garden Grill.

We were then provided with scones, I had them with regular butter and my mother had vegan/allergy friendly butter. They were SO GOOD and I had two. DO NOT reapply bread or you won’t be hungry enough afterwards! I wish I had only eaten one, but I was so hungry by the time we sat down.
Then comes the harvest-inspired garden salad. It was HUGE and had loads of toppings including kalamata olives, cucumbers and tomatoes. This combination felt like a Greek touch to me and we loved it. The salads are HUGE, and if you’re dining for two, you still get family-sized sharing portions. I hated waste and tried to eat as much as I could. It was really delicious!
After a short wait we were presented with our pans. They were HUGE and so well staged and delicious. You are also provided with a plate of fries.
As someone who ordered a meal specifically for allergies, my casserole at Garden Grill Epcot had a Gardein “chicken” patty instead of a veggie loaf. The schnitzel was very juicy and thick. I think Disney uses some kind of Gardien that us normal people can’t buy in the supermarket because it was really cool!

I also took the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese off the regular menu and had a double serving of mac and cheese. I was very tempted to get more fries, but we were already so full and didn’t want to waste any food!
My mom said the veggie loaf was great and she actually ordered more, which she officially got! The vegan plate is huge and consists of many different options and you will be full afterwards! The portions at Disney Garden Grill are huge.
As a vegetarian with dietary restrictions, I rarely get to eat ‘like a normal person’, but the Garden Grill menu has allowed me to! It was well thought out and so good! I felt like I was eating a home-cooked meal that some grandma had prepared for the holidays, except it was vegetarian/vegan and to my specifications.
For dessert I was treated to a HUGE berry pie with whipped cream. This was 100% a “sharing” size portion and I don’t think Garden Grill makes “small” portions for one
